Our Mission
DestinyTV productions are made by local people, about local people, for local people. As well as providing skills and training in media production, we provide an online internet channel to allow the programmes to reach beyond the local audience to potential employers in a wider sphere. The local nature of DestinyTV encourages a vibrant community by providing information, networking opportunities and exposure for individuals, organisations and events.

Our Facilities
DestinyTV is fully equipped for digital video production with a full range of the latest equipment. Broadcast quality HDV cameras are backed up by pro tripods, radio and boom microphones, Steadicam, Minidisk, lights, dolly and track, and bluescreen facilities. We have a small television studio and excellent dedicated sound recording rooms with full mixing facilities in separate control rooms. For editing we have two Avid suites, a Final Cut Pro suite and iMovie stations. Software includes Premiere, After Effects, Cubase, Soundforge, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Fireworks, Dreamweaver and Homesite installed on computers in a dedicated teaching suite.

Although DestinyTV’s output is screened on the internet, our range of facilities was selected to provide relevant training for todays broadcast media as well as smaller scale new media projects. We also have the latest DVD authoring facilities and projection equipment for local presentation of our programmes.

Our Team
DestinyTV pilots locally generated, locally relevant media content developed by community production teams.
